Time for an ultrasonic steam bath, lace deep clean, and hairline touch-up to prevent knot shedding and restore glass shine.
1. Washing & Conditioning
- • Always detangle gently from tips upward with a wide-tooth comb before wetting.
- • Use lukewarm water and sulfate-free hydrating shampoo. Never rub strands together vigorously.
- • Soak in silicone-free leave-in moisture mask for 20 minutes before air-drying.
2. Nighttime & Storage Protocol
- • Slip your wig off onto a velvet wig stand at night to retain cap shape and ventilation.
- • Never sleep on cotton pillowcases without a 100% silk satin bonnet to prevent cuticle friction.
- • Store away from direct sunlight and humidity when traveling.
3. Heat Styling & Lace Protection
- • Always apply argan thermal protectant spray before flat ironing (up to 400°F / 200°C).
- • Keep hot combs at least 0.5 inches away from lace knots to prevent burning the HD film.
- • Avoid scratching lace with sharp nails; dab lightly with edge brush.
